Jan 22, 2005 Vertical Outdoor Storage Sheds – Great For Yards With Limited Space
Vertical outdoor storage sheds are the ideal option for anyone with limited backyard space, but who need a shed to store their gardening supplies and tools. With traditional styles of storage sheds, many people were unable to take advantage of these handy back yard buildings because of lack of space. Those of you living in townhouses or duplexes, who have limited yard space and a small garage, were never able to benefit from having an outdoor shed because you could never fit one on your property. At the same time, those of you with large properties don’t necessarily want a large, overbearing shed in your backyard either. Therefore, the new vertical outdoor shed is a perfect option for anyone with limited space, or for those of you who simply do not need a large outdoor shed. Vertical sheds look quite a bit different than the traditional shed designs because they’re quite a bit smaller in width. Their proportions range depending on the brand; however many are about 5 feet wide and around 7 feet tall. They’re an upright style of structure that doesn’t have much room for moving around or doing work, but they’re an excellent building if your only need is storage. Most are made from wood or polyethylene (plastic), although you could likely find one made from metal or steel if that was your preference. Plastic is the most popular choice for vertical sheds, as they require no maintenance and they stand up very well to outside conditions. Don’t Judge A Shed By Its SizeVertical sheds are sometimes assumed to be less practical than regular sheds, because they’re quite a bit smaller, however this is simply not true. Vertical sheds can store much more than you’d think and are just as effective as any other type of shed. Many come equipped with shelving units, or you can have them installed once you’ve erected your shed. Additionally, many people put up hooks so that they can keep their tools organized and out of the way. What’s more, by eliminating the amount of materials you store on the floor, you leave room in your vertical shed to store your lawn mower or weed-eater. In a vertical storage shed, it’s all about organization and thought. It won’t be practical for you if you simply pile everything on top of itself and don’t make effective use of the space. However, if you add shelves and hanging units, you’ll be amazed at how much space you have in your new vertical backyard shed. A vertical backyard shed is a practical addition to any home, especially those with limited space. They’re sturdy, reliable structures and as long as you make the effort to keep yours organized, you’ll be able to store more supplies than you’d think. About The Author: By: Erin McMillan |
