Duck Weathervane – A Perfect Gift For Duck Lovers

Recently, we bought my dad a lovely pewter duck weathervane that he has proudly displayed on top of his backyard shed. My Dad has a personal love of ducks. I can’t say where it came from and have never asked him why he is so fond of them, but he’s such a big fan of ducks, that we always buy him fun backyard and home items with ducks on them.

If you or someone you know is a duck fan, consider checking out the selection of duck weathervanes on the market. They’re a charming, attractive addition to any home and sure to please any duck lover. The online selection of duck-shaped weather vanes is quite impressive actually.

There are weathervanes where the duck is in flight, sitting, or appearing to be taking off into flight. I even saw one weathervane that was shaped as a single mother duck with her ducklings. Very cute! Aside from that, there are all sorts of different styles of duck weathercocks, many of which also come with compass markings.

More Options For Fowl And Bird Weathervanes

Alright, not everyone is a fan of ducks, but some of you may be avid birdwatchers or just love birds in general. In that case, there are all sorts of weather vanes out there in the shape of all species of birds, from fowl to doves, to robins. Game birds are particularly popular, as are sparrows, owls, swans and bluebirds. Alternatively, you may not love birds, but perhaps you’re a farm animal enthusiast.

If that’s the case, there’s a weathervane for you too! You’ll have no trouble finding a cow, horse, sheep or pig weather vane. Honestly, there’s no end to the looks, shapes, styles and designs of weathervanes out there, so if you’ve been thinking of adding a weathercock to your home, you’re sure to find one that appeals to you.

A wind instrument of any kind, whether it’s a duck a cow or a pig, is always a great addition to any home. They’re lovely to look at, while also being a useful way to indicate wind direction and speed. If you or someone you know could benefit from a weather vane, check them out at your local gardening or specialty store, or look them up online. There’s no better way of expressing your love for something, while also decorating your home, than with the addition of beautiful rooftop weathervanes.
