Due to the large amount of birdhouses available, it is now easier that ever to build your very own bird house haven, right in your yard or garden. All you have to do it pick out several different birdhouses that you like. You can purchase pre-made ones from the store, or you can purchase birdhouse plans and build them yourself. Even better, combine a couple of both! Just make sure that the patterns of the houses are different.

Think of it as though you were building a little town. What would be on the main road? Perhaps a church, a saloon, a schoolhouse, a country market, a jail house and a hotel! Everything a little bird could need on its journey through the back of your home. Choose various places throughout your back yard to erect the bird houses. Make sure they’re not too close together, as birds are territorial animals.

A birdhouse is no longer just a simple structure. Nowadays, a birdhouse plans are as complex and diverse as the houses you see on your own street! They’re inspired, original, charming and distinct.
